Laced by rivers, edged by lakes and framed by the Great Smoky Mountains, Knoxville is part urban hub complete with cultural attractions and part portal for adventure on nearby peaks.
Along this trail, hikers can enjoy panoramic views and maybe catch a glimpse of wildlife. This trail is part of the Big Frog Wilderness. Groups in this area are restricted to a maximum of 12 people.

Camping is available at Thunder Rock Campground. Visit the Ocoee Whitewater Center, site of the 1996 Olympic Canoe/Kayak competition. It is located on Highway 64, 6 miles west of Ducktown. Many other trails are located within the Big Frog Wilderness. For more information about recreation opportunities, visit the Ocoee/Hiwassee Ranger Station.
