Walker Wood Road begins at the northern trailhead at Choctaw Lake. It runs south from the trailhead along the paved road crossing the levee for a short distance, before turning off to the left on the gated Walker Woods Road. The road runs along the crest of a ridge until descending down to the Noxubee River. Beaver Lodge Trail joins Walker Wood Road. east of the river providing a short loop for beginners, and continues a short distance before meeting the Lost Cemetery Road.
